Hello! I’m Mercedes Courson, check out my experience.
A bit about the Designer
I was born and raised in very hot and very humid Florida. Growing up I had always loved to create. My parents always said that while all the other kids were drawing stick figures and scribbling outside the lines, I was drawing full-fledged people with intricate hairstyles and coloring with extreme precision. My parents got me an IPad when I was 11 and since then I haven’t been able to put it down.
After deciding my passion for art and design was worth furthering my education, I applied to Flagler College. I graduated from Flagler College, Fall 2021, with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Illustration. My portfolio was also awarded best in show.
After graduating from Flagler I moved to Asheville, North Carolina, where I can actually enjoy the four seasons and the beautiful mountains. While here I’ve worked remotely as a Graphic Designer for Majority Strategies. At Majority I explored the field of Political Design. In the little over two years I worked at Majority I had gone through two major political seasons.
Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors or spending time with my husband and two kitties!
